Football is for Everyone

The Winnacott Kats Junior Football Club is a family friendly club catering for players, both girls and boys from Pre-Primary to Year 12.

NAB AFL Auskick is football designed for pre-primary to year 2 children. Sessions are held at Winnacott Reserve on Sunday mornings (may also include a couple of Friday night sessions).

Team from Year 3 to Year 12 play games fixtured at both home and away venues. Games are played on either Saturday or Sunday during the season. Fixtures are published shortly before the start of the season.

Youth football teams from Year 3 to Year 6 teams play modified rules for fun and skills development in an enjoyable environment.

Youth football teams from Year 7 to Year 12 teams play graded competition rules in the WAFC Metro South competition.

The club is completely volunteer run, working together to create a fun and safe environment for all members.

All Junior and Youth football is administered by the West Australian Football Commission Inc. (WAFC). WAFC regulates and oversees junior and youth football across Western Australia. The organisation also manages umpires for the sport.

Winnacott Kats are affiliated with the South Metro Regional Development Council (RDC), within WAFC. We play within the East Fremantle District.

The South Metro RDC’s primary focus is the governance of Australian Rules Football within the East Fremantle, Peel Thunder and South Fremantle Districts. They strive to grow and develop the game, support competitions, oversee clubs, and strengthen relationships with schools and community groups.
