What is Auskick?

The NAB AFL Auskick program is the introduction stage to football for 5, 6 and 7 year old girls and boys (Pre Primary to Year 2). The NAB AFL Auskick program is based on coordinated activities and learning new skills. It is primarily designed around free non-contact play, child centred activities and above all enjoyment for all participants.
The Winnacott Kats Junior Football Club (WKJFC) holds between 13 and 15 Auskick sessions on Sunday mornings with the exception of 2 or 3 alternative Friday night sessions at Winnacott Reserve, Willagee between April and August each year.

How old does my child need to be to play Auskick?
Answer:
All Auskick participants MUST turn 5 years of age before the 30th of June in the year that they wish to participate to be eligible for the NAB AFL Auskick program.

Answer:
Yes girls are welcome to play Auskick.

How do I register to play Auskick at the Winnacott Kats?

How do I pay my fees?
Answer:
Fees are to be paid online at the time of registration using your credit card.

Is the club registered for Kidsport?
Answer:
Yes the Winnacott Kats is a Kidsport registered club.
If using Kidsport you will need to apply for funding and have your Kidsport voucher code available at the time of registering.

Where are Auskick games played and on what day?
Answer:
Auskick games are played at Winnacott Reserve, Winnacott Street Willagee.
Auskick sessions are held every Sunday morning 8:30am to 9:45am with exception of 2 or 3 alternative Friday night sessions held early in the season.
The Winnacott Kats Auskick season starts in late April and goes through to late August each year.
Your coach will be able to advise you of the Auskick fixtures for the season once they have been finalised.

Is there training for Auskick?
Answer:
No, however each Sunday morning Auskick session consists of both a skills and drills component prior to an Auskick game.

What do I need to wear/bring to Auskick?
Answer:
Players can wear either runners or football boots. Wear comfortable shorts and a top to all Auskick sessions. Players will be provided with a Winnacott Kats Auskick guernsey to wear or all Auskick sessions. Players can purchase Winnacott Kats shorts and footy socks (royal blue) from the club if they wish to.

Can I be an Auskick coach?
Answer:
Yes. The club is always looking for parents to take on the role of an Auskick coach. Training is provided by the club.
