Presidents Welcome

                                                    2018 Presidents Welcome

Welcome to season 2018 at the Winnacott Kats Junior Football Club. On behalf of everyone at the Kats I would like to welcome all new members for 2018. To our returning players, it's great to see that so many of you have already registered for season 2018.

Online registrations via Sports TG are now open for players in:

Year 3 - Year 12 via the link below -

Auskick (Pre-Primary to Year 2) via the link below -

It only seems like it was a few weeks ago that it was the end of season 2017, and what a season 2017 was. The Kats Year 7 and Year 12 teams both went through the season undefeated and then capped off the year by winning their respective Grand Finals. The Year 12 team then went on to play in the cross district Year 12 State Championships and won this competition too.

The Kats 2017 Year 9, 10 and 11 teams also had very successful seasons and I look forward to seeing these teams being very competitive in 2018.

2017 saw the Winnacott Kats field the clubs first all girls team. The girls had a wonderful season and represented the Kats with great footy skills, sportsmanship and pride. The Kats look forward to increasing the number of all girls teams in 2018. Age groups for girls teams in 2018 are -

Year 3 and Year 4

Year 5 and Year 6

Year 7 and Year 8

Years 9, 10 and 11

The very popular NAB Auskick program returns to the Kats for another year, with Auskick sessions for players in Pre Primary to Year 2 being held on Friday nights (early in the season only) and Sunday mornings. Great fun to be had by players and parents alike.

Auskick registrations are now open. The link is available via this website and it will also be posted on the Kats Auskick Face book Page.

The 2018 East Fremantle District Junior Football competition is for players in Year 3 - Year 7. Teams play against other East Fremantle District based clubs in the same age group. Games are played both home and away. This is a great competition that allows the Kats younger players to develop their skills, whilst enjoying the great game that is AFL footy with their friends.

Kats players in years 7 - 12 will again participate in the cross district Fremantle Conference competition. This is a competition for players in Years 8 - 12 playing for clubs based in both the East Fremantle and South Fremantle districts.

The Fremantle Conference is sure to provide some great football throughout the season.

Our club relies on the dedication of its volunteers and thanks all of them for their time and effort in helping to make the Winnacott Kats the great club that it is. New volunteers are always welcome both at a club and team level and we would encourage anyone interested in assisting at the club to contact us.

I look forward to catching up with old friends and meeting new members during the 2018 season.

Good luck to all Kats teams for 2018 and I hope you all enjoy a great year of football.
